Telehealth (Video Session)
Telehealth is a convenient, easy way to safely get the support you need for individual, couple, or family concerns.
Benefits of Telehealth
Consistent care for people with schedules that make it difficult to come to in-office appointments.
Ideal for people with busy travel schedules.
Allows for access to care for people who live in rural, under-served areas.
Delivers the same, effective care as in-office visits.
Allows you to maintain continuity of care during weather, health-related and other situations which make it difficult or impossible for you to attend in-office appointments.
Remain in the comfort of your own home or space of your choosing.
How does Telehealth work?
We use a HIPAA-compliant platform accessed through your account in my client portal. Once you sign in, you will be in a virtual waiting room and your therapist will let you into the session.
Checklist for successful telehealth sessions
Complete the Telehealth Consent Form in your account in the client portal.
Have a computer or mobile device with a camera and microphone.
You can access your telehealth session via your desktop or a mobile device downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Look for Simple Practice Client Portal.
Select a place where you can ensure the maximum privacy possible for your telehealth session.
Use a secure, high-speed internet connection (i.e. not a public, password-free connection) to ensure privacy.
Join your session 1-2 minutes before your scheduled time to account for any technical issues.
Have your phone nearby so that we can communicate in case we experience technical difficulties during your session.
